Created as the custom typeface for Metis and shaped by the carefree personality of Vitrô, MN Metis Sans is a playful handwritten-style display font available in three weights, with full Vietnamese diacritic support.
To celebrate one year of Vitrô, we are setting the typeface free for designers, students and curious creatives everywhere to mix it, match it and Metis it.
One Year of Vitrô, One Typeface for Everyone
For the past year, Vitrô has brought its wonderfully “vô tri” energy to milk cartons, digital content, collectible merchandise and everyday moments across the Metis universe.
Now, that personality is stepping beyond the brand.
Originally designed as part of the Metis brand identity, MN Metis Sans gave the brand a voice that could feel spontaneous, expressive and slightly unpredictable across packaging, communication and motion.
Rather than keeping it within the Metis system, we are now making the typeface free for the wider creative community to explore.
Use it loudly. Use it strangely. Give your words a little more “mê-tít” energy.
Not Comic Sans. Definitely Metis Sans.
MN Metis Sans is a custom handwritten-style sans serif drawn from the visual language of Gen Alpha: spontaneous, imperfect and always in motion.
Its letterforms are loose and rounded, with soft terminals, chunky proportions and minimal contrast. The result feels closer to an instinctive doodle than a carefully controlled typeface, in the best possible way.
The shapes echo Vitrô’s own naive hand and carefree personality. Even the .notdef glyph, normally used when a character is missing, has been replaced by Vitrô’s head, as if the character had been hiding inside the font all along.

- Uppercase and lowercase characters
- Numerals, punctuation and essential symbols
- Full Vietnamese diacritic support
- A custom Vitrô .notdef glyph

A Free Vietnamese Font Made to Play
Vietnamese typography demands more than adding accents to an existing Latin character set. Its layered diacritics need to feel intentional, balanced and fully integrated with the personality of the letterforms.
MN Metis Sans was designed with Vietnamese at its core. Every dấu sắc, huyền, hỏi, ngã and nặng belongs naturally within the same playful system, allowing the typeface to move confidently between Vietnamese and English.
