On May 30th, 2026, Sihub’s Theatre was filled up with rows of design students, young creatives, and branding enthusiasts packed the seats for what turned out to be one of HCMC’s most energetic design talks of the year Un-Boring The Everyday, hosted by Metis and creative agency M — N Associates.

The session pulled back the curtain on the making of Metis, VitaDairy‘s Gen Alpha-coded milk brand built around mascots, memes, and collectible packaging. The team shared how Vitrô Metis’s carefree, optimistic character, all began as AI-generated sketches before being refined into a fully realized character system that feels both spontaneous and intentional.

Beyond character design, the talk explored how the visual system is structured as a series of bite-sized scenes, drawing from how Gen Alpha consumes content: fast, fragmented, and driven by micro-experiences. From the custom typeface MN Metis Sans to the storytelling packed into every surface of the carton, the team made one thing clear: this brand was never built to just sell milk.

The team behind Metis didn’t start with a brief about milk nutrition. They started with a question: what does a brand look like when it’s built to be liked, not just trusted? Every decision that followed, the mascot, the typeface, the side-panel comics, the collectible packaging, was an answer to that same question, told one small surface at a time.

What M — N Associates unpacked on stage wasn’t just a branding project, it was a way of thinking about what brands owe the people they’re made for. Metis was built around a generation that can spot inauthenticity instantly, scrolls past anything that feels forced, and only sticks around for things that feel genuinely made for them.
